‘Running Stitchers’ (formerly Venture II) was formed in November 2011. It is a one of the four Venture Groups set up by Worcester Embroiderers' Guild. It has engendered a rich source of inspiration, friendship, support and learning for its eleven members. Self tutored workshops and outings also enhance our regular monthly meetings.

It's in the Bag
One of the Running Stitchers had very cleverly made this little bag, which has a cord handle to carry it by. Upon further investigation it was a fairly simple construction which made three internal pockets. Two squares of fabric had been lined and folded to make the front and back. When stitched together around three sides, they made a third pocket in the centre of the back. The person in question has two daughters. One likes bling and the other has more reserved tastes. you can guess which one this bag is for.
The New Year meeting also revealed that several members thought we should change the group name to "Slimming Stitchers" to relieve us all of some of the extra pounds we have all piled on over recent months. Perhaps we just need to get on and do a bit of "Running" instead!
